# 耶-Jer 42 ## 耶42:1 众军长和加利亚的儿子约哈难，并何沙雅的儿子耶撒尼亚(“耶撒尼亚”又名“亚撒利雅”，见四十三章二节)，以及众百姓，从最小的到至大的，都进前来， Jer 42:1 “Then all the commanders of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least to the greatest, came near” ## 耶42:2 对先知耶利米说：“求你准我们在你面前祈求，为我们这剩下的人祷告耶和华你的神。我们本来众多，现在剩下的极少，这是你亲眼所见的。 Jer 42:2 “and said to Jeremiah the prophet, “Let our plea for mercy come before you, and pray to the LORD your God for us, for all this remnant—because we are left with but a few, as your eyes see us—” ## 耶42:3 愿耶和华你的神指示我们所当走的路，所当作的事。” Jer 42:3 “that the LORD your God may show us the way we should go, and the thing that we should do.” ## 耶42:4 先知耶利米对他们说：“我已经听见你们了，我必照着你们的话祷告耶和华你们的神。耶和华无论回答什么，我必都告诉你们，毫不隐瞒。” Jer 42:4 “Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I will pray to the LORD your God according to your request, and whatever the LORD answers you I will tell you. I will keep nothing back from you.” ## 耶42:5 于是他们对耶利米说：“我们若不照耶和华你的神差遣你来说的一切话行，愿耶和华在我们中间作真实诚信的见证。 Jer 42:5 “Then they said to Jeremiah, “May the LORD be a true and faithful witness against us if we do not act according to all the word with which the LORD your God sends you to us.” ## 耶42:6 我们现在请你到耶和华我们的神面前，他说的无论是好是歹，我们都必听从；我们听从耶和华我们神的话，就可以得福。” Jer 42:6 “Whether it is good or bad, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God to whom we are sending you, that it may be well with us when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.” ## 耶42:7 过了十天，耶和华的话临到耶利米。 Jer 42:7 At the end of ten days the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah. ## 耶42:8 他就将加利亚的儿子约哈难和同着他的众军长，并众百姓，从最小的到至大的，都叫了来。 Jer 42:8 “Then he summoned Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces who were with him, and all the people from the least to the greatest,” ## 耶42:9 对他们说：“耶和华以色列的神，就是你们请我在他面前为你们祈求的主，如此说： Jer 42:9 “and said to them, “Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your plea for mercy before him:” ## 耶42:10 你们若仍住在这地，我就建立你们必不拆毁，栽植你们并不拔出；因我为降与你们的灾祸后悔了。 Jer 42:10 “If you will remain in this land, then I will build you up and not pull you down; I will plant you, and not pluck you up; for I relent of the disaster that I did to you.” ## 耶42:11 不要怕你们所怕的巴比伦王。耶和华说：“不要怕他！因为我与你们同在，要拯救你们脱离他的手。 Jer 42:11 “Do not fear the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid. Do not fear him, declares the LORD, for I am with you, to save you and to deliver you from his hand.” ## 耶42:12 我也要使他发怜悯，好怜悯你们，叫你们归回本地。 Jer 42:12 “I will grant you mercy, that he may have mercy on you and let you remain in your own land.” ## 耶42:13 “倘若你们说，我们不住在这地，以致不听从耶和华你们神的话， Jer 42:13 “But if you say, ‘We will not remain in this land,’ disobeying the voice of the LORD your God” ## 耶42:14 说：‘我们不住这地，却要进入埃及地，在那里看不见争战，听不见角声，也不至无食饥饿。我们必住在那里。’ Jer 42:14 “and saying, ‘No, we will go to the land of Egypt, where we shall not see war or hear the sound of the trumpet or be hungry for bread, and we will dwell there,’” ## 耶42:15 你们所剩下的犹大人哪！现在要听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：你们若定意要进入埃及，在那里寄居， Jer 42:15 “then hear the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah. Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: If you set your faces to enter Egypt and go to live there,” ## 耶42:16 你们所惧怕的刀剑，在埃及地必追上你们！你们所惧怕的饥荒，在埃及要紧紧地跟随你们！你们必死在那里！ Jer 42:16 “then the sword that you fear shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine of which you are afraid shall follow close after you to Egypt, and there you shall die.” ## 耶42:17 凡定意要进入埃及在那里寄居的，必遭刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死，无一人存留，逃脱我所降与他们的灾祸。 Jer 42:17 “All the men who set their faces to go to Egypt to live there shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence. They shall have no remnant or survivor from the disaster that I will bring upon them.” ## 耶42:18 “万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：‘我怎样将我的怒气和忿怒倾在耶路撒冷的居民身上，你们进入埃及的时候，我也必照样将我的忿怒倾在你们身上，以致你们令人辱骂、惊骇、咒诅、羞辱，你们不得再见这地方。’ Jer 42:18 “For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: As my anger and my wrath were poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so my wrath will be poured out on you when you go to Egypt. You shall become an execration, a horror, a curse, and a taunt. You shall see this place no more.” ## 耶42:19 “所剩下的犹大人哪！耶和华论到你们说：‘不要进入埃及去。’你们要确实地知道我今日警教你们了。 Jer 42:19 “The LORD has said to you, O remnant of Judah, ‘Do not go to Egypt.’ Know for a certainty that I have warned you this day” ## 耶42:20 你们行诡诈自害，因为你们请我到耶和华你们的神那里，说：‘求你为我们祷告耶和华我们神，照耶和华我们的神一切所说的告诉我们，我们就必遵行。’ Jer 42:20 “that you have gone astray at the cost of your lives. For you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, ‘Pray for us to the LORD our God, and whatever the LORD our God says declare to us and we will do it.’” ## 耶42:21 我今日将这话告诉你们，耶和华你们的神为你们的事，差遣我到你们那里说的，你们却一样没有听从。 Jer 42:21 “And I have this day declared it to you, but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God in anything that he sent me to tell you.” ## 耶42:22 现在你们要确实地知道，你们在所要去寄居之地必遭刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫而死。” Jer 42:22 “Now therefore know for a certainty that you shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence in the place where you desire to go to live.”
