# 箴-Pro 25
## 箴25:1
以下也是所罗门的箴言,是犹大王希西家的人所誊录的:
Pro 25:1 These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied.
## 箴25:2
将事隐秘,乃神的荣耀;将事察清,乃君王的荣耀。
Pro 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”
## 箴25:3
天之高,地之厚,君王之心也测不透。
Pro 25:3 “As the heavens for height, and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable.”
## 箴25:4
除去银子的渣滓,就有银子出来,银匠能以作器皿;
Pro 25:4 “Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel;”
## 箴25:5
除去王面前的恶人,国位就靠公义坚立。
Pro 25:5 “take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be established in righteousness.”
## 箴25:6
不要在王面前妄自尊大;不要在大人的位上站立。
Pro 25:6 “Do not put yourself forward in the king’s presence or stand in the place of the great,”
## 箴25:7
宁可有人说:“请你上来,”强如在你觐见的王子面前,叫你退下。
Pro 25:7 “for it is better to be told, “Come up here,” than to be put lower in the presence of a noble. What your eyes have seen”
## 箴25:8
不要冒失出去与人争竞,免得至终被他羞辱,你就不知道怎样行了。
Pro 25:8 “do not hastily bring into court, for what will you do in the end, when your neighbor puts you to shame?”
## 箴25:9
你与邻舍争讼,要与他一人辩论;不可泄漏人的密事,
Pro 25:9 “Argue your case with your neighbor himself, and do not reveal another’s secret,”
## 箴25:10
恐怕听见的人骂你,你的臭名就难以脱离。
Pro 25:10 “lest he who hears you bring shame upon you, and your ill repute have no end.”
## 箴25:11
一句话说得合宜,就如金苹果在银网子里。
Pro 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.
## 箴25:12
智慧人的劝戒,在顺从的人耳中,好象金耳环和精金的妆饰。
Pro 25:12 Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.
## 箴25:13
忠信的使者,叫差他的人心里舒畅,就如在收割时,有冰雪的凉气。
Pro 25:13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the soul of his masters.
## 箴25:14
空夸赠送礼物的,好象无雨的风云。
Pro 25:14 Like clouds and wind without rain is a man who boasts of a gift he does not give.
## 箴25:15
恒常忍耐,可以劝动君王;柔和的舌头,能折断骨头。
Pro 25:15 “With patience a ruler may be persuaded, and a soft tongue will break a bone.”
## 箴25:16
你得了蜜吗?只可吃够而已,恐怕你过饱就呕吐出来。
Pro 25:16 “If you have found honey, eat only enough for you, lest you have your fill of it and vomit it.”
## 箴25:17
你的脚要少进邻舍的家,恐怕他厌烦你,恨恶你。
Pro 25:17 “Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor’s house, lest he have his fill of you and hate you.”
## 箴25:18
作假见证陷害邻舍的,就是大槌,是利刀,是快箭。
Pro 25:18 “A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow.”
## 箴25:19
患难时倚靠不忠诚的人,好象破坏的牙,错骨缝的脚。
Pro 25:19 Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips.
## 箴25:20
对伤心的人唱歌,就如冷天脱衣服,又如碱上倒醋。
Pro 25:20 “Whoever sings songs to a heavy heart is like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, and like vinegar on soda.”
## 箴25:21
你的仇敌若饿了,就给他饭吃;若渴了,就给他水喝;
Pro 25:21 “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink,”
## 箴25:22
因为你这样行,就是把炭火堆在他的头上,耶和华也必赏赐你。
Pro 25:22 “for you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.”
## 箴25:23
北风生雨,谗谤人的舌头也生怒容。
Pro 25:23 “The north wind brings forth rain, and a backbiting tongue, angry looks.”
## 箴25:24
宁可住在房顶的角上,不在宽阔的房屋与争吵的妇人同住。
Pro 25:24 It is better to live in a corner of the housetop than in a house shared with a quarrelsome wife.
## 箴25:25
有好消息从远方来,就如拿凉水给口渴的人喝。
Pro 25:25 “Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.”
## 箴25:26
义人在恶人面前退缩,好象趟浑之泉,弄浊之井。
Pro 25:26 Like a muddied spring or a polluted fountain is a righteous man who gives way before the wicked.
## 箴25:27
吃蜜过多,是不好的;考究自己的荣耀,也是可厌的。
Pro 25:27 “It is not good to eat much honey, nor is it glorious to seek one’s own glory.”
## 箴25:28
人不制伏自己的心,好象毁坏的城邑,没有墙垣。
Pro 25:28 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
