# 箴-Pro 23
## 箴23:1
你若与官长坐席,要留意在你面前的是谁。
Pro 23:1 “When you sit down to eat with a ruler, observe carefully what is before you,”
## 箴23:2
你若是贪食的,就当拿刀放在喉咙上。
Pro 23:2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite.
## 箴23:3
不可贪恋他的美食,因为是哄人的食物。
Pro 23:3 “Do not desire his delicacies, for they are deceptive food.”
## 箴23:4
不要劳碌求富,休仗自己的聪明。
Pro 23:4 Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.
## 箴23:5
你岂要定睛在虚无的钱财上吗?因钱财必长翅膀,如鹰向天飞去。
Pro 23:5 “When your eyes light on it, it is gone, for suddenly it sprouts wings, flying like an eagle toward heaven.”
## 箴23:6
不要吃恶眼人的饭,也不要贪他的美味。
Pro 23:6 “Do not eat the bread of a man who is stingy; do not desire his delicacies,”
## 箴23:7
因为他心怎样思量,他为人就是怎样;他虽对你说,“请吃,请喝。”他的心却与你相背。
Pro 23:7 “for he is like one who is inwardly calculating. “Eat and drink!” he says to you, but his heart is not with you.”
## 箴23:8
你所吃的那点食物,必吐出来;你所说的甘美言语,也必落空。
Pro 23:8 “You will vomit up the morsels that you have eaten, and waste your pleasant words.”
## 箴23:9
你不要说话给愚昧人听,因他必藐视你智慧的言语。
Pro 23:9 “Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, for he will despise the good sense of your words.”
## 箴23:10
不可挪移古时的地界。也不可侵入孤儿的田地,
Pro 23:10 “Do not move an ancient landmark or enter the fields of the fatherless,”
## 箴23:11
因他们的救赎主,大有能力,他必向你为他们辨屈。
Pro 23:11 for their Redeemer is strong; he will plead their cause against you.
## 箴23:12
你要留心领受训诲,侧耳听从知识的言语。
Pro 23:12 Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge.
## 箴23:13
不可不管教孩童,你用杖打他,他必不至于死。
Pro 23:13 “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die.”
## 箴23:14
你要用杖打他,就可以救他的灵魂免下阴间。
Pro 23:14 “If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol.”
## 箴23:15
我儿,你心若存智慧,我的心也甚欢喜。
Pro 23:15 “My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad.”
## 箴23:16
你的嘴若说正直话,我的心肠也必快乐。
Pro 23:16 My inmost being will exult when your lips speak what is right.
## 箴23:17
你心中不要嫉妒罪人,只要终日敬畏耶和华,
Pro 23:17 “Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day.”
## 箴23:18
因为至终必有善报,你的指望也不至断绝。
Pro 23:18 “Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.”
## 箴23:19
我儿,你当听,当存智慧,好在正道上引导你的心。
Pro 23:19 “Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your heart in the way.”
## 箴23:20
好饮酒的,好吃肉的,不要与他们来往,
Pro 23:20 “Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat,”
## 箴23:21
因为好酒贪食的,必致贫穷;好睡觉的,必穿破烂衣服。
Pro 23:21 “for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.”
## 箴23:22
你要听从生你的父亲,你母亲老了,也不可藐视她。
Pro 23:22 “Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.”
## 箴23:23
你当买真理,就是智慧、训诲和聪明,也都不可卖。
Pro 23:23 “Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.”
## 箴23:24
义人的父亲,必大得快乐;人生智慧的儿子,必因他欢喜。
Pro 23:24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.
## 箴23:25
你要使父母欢喜,使生你的快乐。
Pro 23:25 Let your father and mother be glad; let her who bore you rejoice.
## 箴23:26
我儿,要将你的心归我,你的眼目,也要喜悦我的道路。
Pro 23:26 “My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes observe my ways.”
## 箴23:27
妓女是深坑,外女是窄阱,
Pro 23:27 For a prostitute is a deep pit; an adulteress is a narrow well.
## 箴23:28
她埋伏好象强盗,她使人中多有奸诈的。
Pro 23:28 She lies in wait like a robber and increases the traitors among mankind.
## 箴23:29
谁有祸患?谁有忧愁?谁有争斗?谁有哀叹(或作“怨言”)?谁无故受伤?谁眼目红赤?
Pro 23:29 Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has strife? Who has complaining? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?
## 箴23:30
就是那流连饮酒,常去寻找调和酒的人。
Pro 23:30 Those who tarry long over wine; those who go to try mixed wine.
## 箴23:31

Pro 23:31 “Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly.”
## 箴23:32
酒发红,在杯中闪烁,你不可观看,虽然下咽舒畅,终久是咬你如蛇,刺你如毒蛇。
Pro 23:32 In the end it bites like a serpent and stings like an adder.
## 箴23:33
你眼必看见异怪的事。(“异怪的事”或作“淫妇”),你心必发出乖谬的话;
Pro 23:33 “Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things.”
## 箴23:34
你必象躺在海中,或象卧在桅杆上。
Pro 23:34 “You will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, like one who lies on the top of a mast.”
## 箴23:35
你必说:“人打我,我却未受伤;人鞭打我,我竟不觉得。我几时清醒,我仍去寻酒。”
Pro 23:35 “They struck me, you will say, “but I was not hurt; they beat me, but I did not feel it. When shall I awake? I must have another drink.”
