# 箴-Pro 17 ## 箴17:1 设筵满屋,大家相争;不如有块干饼,大家相安。 Pro 17:1 Better is a dry morsel with quiet than a house full of feasting with strife. ## 箴17:2 仆人办事聪明,必管辖贻羞之子,又在众子中,同分产业。 Pro 17:2 A servant who deals wisely will rule over a son who acts shamefully and will share the inheritance as one of the brothers. ## 箴17:3 鼎为炼银,炉为炼金;惟有耶和华熬炼人心。 Pro 17:3 “The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the LORD tests hearts.” ## 箴17:4 行恶的留心听奸诈之言;说谎的侧耳听邪恶之语。 Pro 17:4 “An evildoer listens to wicked lips, and a liar gives ear to a mischievous tongue.” ## 箴17:5 戏笑穷人的,是辱没造他的主;幸灾乐祸的,必不免受罚。 Pro 17:5 Whoever mocks the poor insults his Maker; he who is glad at calamity will not go unpunished. ## 箴17:6 子孙为老人的冠冕;父亲是儿女的荣耀。 Pro 17:6 “Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.” ## 箴17:7 愚顽人说美言本不相宜,何况君王说谎话呢? Pro 17:7 Fine speech is not becoming to a fool; still less is false speech to a prince. ## 箴17:8 贿赂在馈送的人眼中,看为宝玉,随处运动,都得顺利。 Pro 17:8 A bribe is like a magic stone in the eyes of the one who gives it; wherever he turns he prospers. ## 箴17:9 遮掩人过的,寻求人爱;屡次挑错的,离间密友。 Pro 17:9 “Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.” ## 箴17:10 一句责备话,深入聪明人的心,强如责打愚昧人一百下。 Pro 17:10 A rebuke goes deeper into a man of understanding than a hundred blows into a fool. ## 箴17:11 恶人只寻背叛,所以必有严厉的使者,奉差攻击他。 Pro 17:11 “An evil man seeks only rebellion, and a cruel messenger will be sent against him.” ## 箴17:12 宁可遇见丢崽子的母熊,不可遇见正行愚妄的愚昧人。 Pro 17:12 Let a man meet a she-bear robbed of her cubs rather than a fool in his folly. ## 箴17:13 以恶报善的,祸患必不离他的家。 Pro 17:13 “If anyone returns evil for good, evil will not depart from his house.” ## 箴17:14 纷争的起头,如水放开;所以在争闹之先,必当止息争竞。 Pro 17:14 “The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so quit before the quarrel breaks out.” ## 箴17:15 定恶人为义的,定义人为恶的,这都为耶和华所憎恶。 Pro 17:15 He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD. ## 箴17:16 愚昧人既无聪明,为何手拿价银买智慧呢? Pro 17:16 Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he has no sense? ## 箴17:17 朋友乃时常亲爱,弟兄为患难而生。 Pro 17:17 “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” ## 箴17:18 在邻舍面前击掌作保,乃是无知的人。 Pro 17:18 One who lacks sense gives a pledge and puts up security in the presence of his neighbor. ## 箴17:19 喜爱争竞的,是喜爱过犯;高立家门的,乃自取败坏。 Pro 17:19 Whoever loves transgression loves strife; he who makes his door high seeks destruction. ## 箴17:20 心存邪僻的,寻不着好处;舌弄是非的,陷在祸患中。 Pro 17:20 “A man of crooked heart does not discover good, and one with a dishonest tongue falls into calamity.” ## 箴17:21 生愚昧子的,必自愁苦;愚顽人的父,毫无喜乐。 Pro 17:21 “He who sires a fool gets himself sorrow, and the father of a fool has no joy.” ## 箴17:22 喜乐的心,乃是良药;忧伤的灵,使骨枯干。 Pro 17:22 “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” ## 箴17:23 恶人暗中受贿赂,为要颠倒判断。 Pro 17:23 The wicked accepts a bribe in secret to pervert the ways of justice. ## 箴17:24 明哲人眼前有智慧;愚昧人眼望地极。 Pro 17:24 “The discerning sets his face toward wisdom, but the eyes of a fool are on the ends of the earth.” ## 箴17:25 愚昧子使父亲愁烦,使母亲忧苦。 Pro 17:25 A foolish son is a grief to his father and bitterness to her who bore him. ## 箴17:26 刑罚义人为不善;责打君子为不义。 Pro 17:26 “To impose a fine on a righteous man is not good, nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.” ## 箴17:27 寡少言语的有知识;性情温良的有聪明。 Pro 17:27 “Whoever restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding.” ## 箴17:28 愚昧人若静默不言,也可算为智慧;闭口不说,也可算为聪明。 Pro 17:28 “Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.”
