# 伯-Job 1 ## 伯1:1 乌斯地，有一个人名叫约伯，那人完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。 Job 1:1 “There was a man in the land of Uz whose name was Job, and that man was blameless and upright, one who feared God and turned away from evil.” ## 伯1:2 他生了七个儿子，三个女儿。 Job 1:2 There were born to him seven sons and three daughters. ## 伯1:3 他的家产有七千羊，三千骆驼，五百对牛，五百母驴，并有许多仆婢。这人在东方人中就为至大。 Job 1:3 “He possessed 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 500 yoke of oxen, and 500 female donkeys, and very many servants, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the east.” ## 伯1:4 他的儿子按着日子，各在自己家里设摆筵宴，就打发人去，请了他们的三个姐妹来，与他们一同吃喝， Job 1:4 “His sons used to go and hold a feast in the house of each one on his day, and they would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them.” ## 伯1:5 筵宴的日子过了，约伯打发人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按着他们众人的数目献燔祭；因为他说：“恐怕我儿子犯了罪，心中弃掉神。”约伯常常这样行。 Job 1:5 “And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, “It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.” ## 伯1:6 有一天，神的众子来侍立在耶和华面前，撒但也来在其中。 Job 1:6 “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them.” ## 伯1:7 耶和华问撒但说：“你从哪里来？”撒但回答说：“我从地上走来走去，往返而来。” Job 1:7 “The LORD said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” ## 伯1:8 耶和华问撒但说：“你曾用心察看我的仆人约伯没有？地上再没有人象他完全正直，敬畏神，远离恶事。” Job 1:8 “And the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?” ## 伯1:9 撒但回答耶和华说：“约伯敬畏神，岂是无故呢？ Job 1:9 “Then Satan answered the LORD and said, “Does Job fear God for no reason?” ## 伯1:10 你岂不是四面圈上篱笆围护他和他的家，并他一切所有的吗？他手所作的，都蒙你赐福；他的家产也在地上增多。 Job 1:10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” ## 伯1:11 你且伸手，毁他一切所有的；他必当面弃掉你。” Job 1:11 “But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.” ## 伯1:12 耶和华对撒但说：“凡他所有的，都在你手中；只是不可伸手加害于他。”于是撒但从耶和华面前退去。 Job 1:12 “And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your hand. Only against him do not stretch out your hand.” So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD.” ## 伯1:13 有一天，约伯的儿女正在他们长兄的家里吃饭喝酒， Job 1:13 “Now there was a day when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,” ## 伯1:14 有报信的来见约伯说：“牛正耕地，驴在旁边吃草， Job 1:14 “and there came a messenger to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,” ## 伯1:15 示巴人忽然闯来，把牲畜掳去，并用刀杀了仆人；惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。” Job 1:15 “and the Sabeans fell upon them and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” ## 伯1:16 他还说话的时候，又有人来说：“神从天上降下火来，将群羊和仆人都烧灭了；惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。” Job 1:16 “While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” ## 伯1:17 他还说话的时候，又有人来说：“迦勒底人分作三队，忽然闯来，把骆驼掳去，并用刀杀了仆人；惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。” Job 1:17 While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “The Chaldeans formed three groups and made a raid on the camels and took them and struck down the servants with the edge of the sword, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” ## 伯1:18 他还说话的时候，又有人来说：“你的儿女正在他们长兄的家里吃饭喝酒； Job 1:18 “While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, “Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,” ## 伯1:19 不料，有狂风从旷野刮来，击打房屋的四角，房屋倒塌在少年人身上，他们就都死了；惟有我一人逃脱，来报信给你。” Job 1:19 and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you.” ## 伯1:20 约伯便起来，撕裂外袍，剃了头，伏在地上下拜， Job 1:20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. ## 伯1:21 说：“我赤身出于母胎，也必赤身归回。赏赐的是耶和华，收取的也是耶和华；耶和华的名是应当称颂的。” Job 1:21 “And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” ## 伯1:22 在这一切的事上，约伯并不犯罪，也不以神为愚妄(或作“也不妄评神”)。 Job 1:22 In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong.
