## 代下20:1
此后,摩押人和亚扪人,又有米乌尼人,一同来攻击约沙法。
2Ch 20:1 “After this the Moabites and Ammonites, and with them some of the Meunites, came against Jehoshaphat for battle.”
## 代下20:2
有人来报告约沙法,说:“从海外亚兰那边(“亚兰”又作“以东”)有大军来攻击你,如今他们在哈洗逊他玛,就是隐基底。”
2Ch 20:2 “Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, “A great multitude is coming against you from Edom, from beyond the sea; and, behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar” (that is, Engedi).”
## 代下20:3
约沙法便惧怕,定意寻求耶和华,在犹大全地宣告禁食。
2Ch 20:3 “Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.”
## 代下20:4
于是犹大人聚会,求耶和华帮助。犹大各城都有人出来寻求耶和华。
2Ch 20:4 And Judah assembled to seek help from the LORD; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.
## 代下20:5
约沙法就在犹大和耶路撒冷的会中,站在耶和华殿的新院前,
2Ch 20:5 “And Jehoshaphat stood in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,”
## 代下20:6
说:“耶和华我们列祖的神啊!你不是天上的神吗?你不是万邦万国的主宰吗?在你手中有大能大力,无人能抵挡你。
2Ch 20:6 “and said, “O LORD, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.”
## 代下20:7
我们的神啊!你不是曾在你民以色列人面前,驱逐这地的居民,将这地赐给你朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔永远为业吗?
2Ch 20:7 “Did you not, our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel, and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?”
## 代下20:8
他们住在这地,又为你的名建造圣所,说:
2Ch 20:8 “And they have lived in it and have built for you in it a sanctuary for your name, saying,”
## 代下20:9
‘倘有祸患临到我们,或刀兵灾殃,或瘟疫饥荒,我们在急难的时候,站在这殿前向你呼求,你必垂听而拯救,因为你的名在这殿里。’
2Ch 20:9 “If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before you—for your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’”
## 代下20:10
“从前以色列人出埃及地的时候,你不容以色列人侵犯亚扪人、摩押人和西珥山人,以色列人就离开他们,不灭绝他们。
2Ch 20:10 “And now behold, the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom you would not let Israel invade when they came from the land of Egypt, and whom they avoided and did not destroy—”
## 代下20:11
看哪!他们怎样报复我们,要来驱逐我们出离你的地,就是你赐给我们为业之地。
2Ch 20:11 “behold, they reward us by coming to drive us out of your possession, which you have given us to inherit.”
## 代下20:12
我们的神啊!你不惩罚他们吗?因为我们无力抵挡这来攻击我们的大军,我们也不知道怎样行。我们的眼目,单仰望你!”
2Ch 20:12 “O our God, will you not execute judgment on them? For we are powerless against this great horde that is coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”
## 代下20:13
犹大众人和他们的婴孩、妻子、儿女,都站在耶和华面前。
2Ch 20:13 “Meanwhile all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.”
## 代下20:14
那时,耶和华的灵在会中临到利未人亚萨的后裔玛探雅的元孙,耶利的曾孙,比拿雅的孙子,撒迦利雅的儿子雅哈悉。
2Ch 20:14 “And the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, in the midst of the assembly.”

他说:“犹大众人,耶路撒冷的居民和约沙法王,你们请听。耶和华对你们如此说:‘不要因这大军恐惧惊惶,因为胜败不在乎你们,乃在乎神。
2Ch 20:15 “And he said, “Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat: Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but God’s.”
## 代下20:16
明日你们要下去迎敌,他们是从洗斯坡上来,你们必在耶鲁伊勒旷野前的谷口遇见他们。
2Ch 20:16 “Tomorrow go down against them. Behold, they will come up by the ascent of Ziz. You will find them at the end of the valley, east of the wilderness of Jeruel.”
## 代下20:17
犹大和耶路撒冷人哪!这次你们不要争战,要摆阵站着,看耶和华为你们施行拯救。不要恐惧,也不要惊惶。明日当出去迎敌,因为耶和华与你们同在。’”
2Ch 20:17 “You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you.”
## 代下20:18
约沙法就面伏于地,犹大众人和耶路撒冷的居民,也俯伏在耶和华面前,叩拜耶和华。
2Ch 20:18 “Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshiping the LORD.”
## 代下20:19
哥辖族和可拉族的利未人都起来,用极大的声音赞美耶和华以色列的神。
2Ch 20:19 “And the Levites, of the Kohathites and the Korahites, stood up to praise the LORD, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.”
## 代下20:20
次日清早,众人起来,往提哥亚的旷野去。出去的时候,约沙法站着说:“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪!要听我说:信耶和华你们的神,就必立稳;信他的先知,就必亨通。”
2Ch 20:20 “And they rose early in the morning and went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. And when they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem! Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe his prophets, and you will succeed.”
## 代下20:21
约沙法既与民商议了,就设立歌唱的人,颂赞耶和华,使他们穿上圣洁的礼服,走在军前赞美耶和华,说:“当称谢耶和华,因他的慈爱永远长存!”
2Ch 20:21 “And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.”
## 代下20:22
众人方唱歌赞美的时候,耶和华就派伏兵击杀那来攻击犹大人的亚扪人、摩押人和西珥山人,他们就被打败了。
2Ch 20:22 “And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed.”
## 代下20:23
因为亚扪人和摩押人起来,击杀住西珥山的人,将他们灭尽;灭尽住西珥山的人之后,他们又彼此自相击杀。
2Ch 20:23 “For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another.”
## 代下20:24
犹大人来到旷野的望楼,向那大军观看,见尸横遍地,没有一个逃脱的。
2Ch 20:24 “When Judah came to the watchtower of the wilderness, they looked toward the horde, and behold, there were dead bodies lying on the ground; none had escaped.”
## 代下20:25
约沙法和他的百姓就来收取敌人的财物,在尸首中见了许多财物、珍宝,他们剥脱下来的多得不可携带,因为甚多,直收取了三日。
2Ch 20:25 “When Jehoshaphat and his people came to take their spoil, they found among them, in great numbers, goods, clothing, and precious things, which they took for themselves until they could carry no more. They were three days in taking the spoil, it was so much.”
## 代下20:26
第四日众人聚集在比拉迦(就是“称颂”的意思)谷,在那里称颂耶和华。因此,那地方名叫比拉迦谷,直到今日。
2Ch 20:26 “On the fourth day they assembled in the Valley of Beracah, for there they blessed the LORD. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Beracah to this day.”
## 代下20:27
犹大人和耶路撒冷人,都欢欢喜喜地回耶路撒冷,约沙法率领他们;因为耶和华使他们战胜仇敌,就欢喜快乐。
2Ch 20:27 “Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat at their head, returning to Jerusalem with joy, for the LORD had made them rejoice over their enemies.”
## 代下20:28
他们弹琴、鼓瑟、吹号,来到耶路撒冷,进了耶和华的殿。
2Ch 20:28 “They came to Jerusalem with harps and lyres and trumpets, to the house of the LORD.”
## 代下20:29
列邦诸国听见耶和华战败以色列的仇敌,就甚惧怕。
2Ch 20:29 And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.
## 代下20:30
这样,约沙法的国得享太平,因为神赐他四境平安。
2Ch 20:30 “So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around.”
## 代下20:31
约沙法作犹大王,登基的时候年三十五岁,在耶路撒冷作王二十五年。他母亲名叫阿苏巴,乃示利希的女儿。
2Ch 20:31 “Thus Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.”
## 代下20:32
约沙法效法他父亚撒所行的,不偏左右,行耶和华眼中看为正的事。
2Ch 20:32 “He walked in the way of Asa his father and did not turn aside from it, doing what was right in the sight of the LORD.”
## 代下20:33
只是邱坛还没有废去,百姓也没有立定心意归向他们列祖的神。
2Ch 20:33 “The high places, however, were not taken away; the people had not yet set their hearts upon the God of their fathers.”
## 代下20:34
约沙法其余的事,自始至终,都写在哈拿尼的儿子耶户的书上,也载入以色列诸王记上。
2Ch 20:34 “Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, from first to last, are written in the chronicles of Jehu the son of Hanani, which are recorded in the Book of the Kings of Israel.”
## 代下20:35
此后,犹大王约沙法与以色列王亚哈谢交好,亚哈谢行恶太甚。
2Ch 20:35 “After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah king of Israel, who acted wickedly.”
## 代下20:36
二王合伙造船要往他施去,遂在以旬迦别造船。
2Ch 20:36 “He joined him in building ships to go to Tarshish, and they built the ships in Ezion-geber.”
## 代下20:37
那时,玛利沙人,多大瓦的儿子以利以谢,向约沙法预言说:“因你与亚哈谢交好,耶和华必破坏你所造的。”后来那船果然破坏,不能往他施去了。
2Ch 20:37 “Then Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, “Because you have joined with Ahaziah, the LORD will destroy what you have made.” And the ships were wrecked and were not able to go to Tarshish.”
