# 申-Deu 20
## 申20:1
“你出去与仇敌争战的时候,看见马匹、车辆,并有比你多的人民,不要怕他们,因为领你出埃及地的耶和华你神与你同在。
Deu 20:1 “When you go out to war against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and an army larger than your own, you shall not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.”
## 申20:2
你们将要上阵的时候,祭司要到百姓面前宣告,
Deu 20:2 “And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people”
## 申20:3
说:‘以色列人哪!你们当听,你们今日将要与仇敌争战,不要胆怯,不要惧怕战兢,也不要因他们惊恐;
Deu 20:3 “and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them,”
## 申20:4
因为耶和华你们的神与你们同去,要为你们与仇敌争战,拯救你们。’
Deu 20:4 “for the LORD your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.’”
## 申20:5
“官长也要对百姓宣告说:‘谁建造房屋,尚未奉献,他可以回家去,恐怕他阵亡,别人去奉献;
Deu 20:5 “Then the officers shall speak to the people, saying, ‘Is there any man who has built a new house and has not dedicated it? Let him go back to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man dedicate it.”
## 申20:6
谁种葡萄园,尚未用所结的果子,他可以回家去,恐怕他阵亡,别人去用;
Deu 20:6 “And is there any man who has planted a vineyard and has not enjoyed its fruit? Let him go back to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man enjoy its fruit.”
## 申20:7
谁聘定了妻,尚未迎娶,他可以回家去,恐怕他阵亡,别人去娶。’
Deu 20:7 “And is there any man who has betrothed a wife and has not taken her? Let him go back to his house, lest he die in the battle and another man take her.’”
## 申20:8
“官长又要对百姓宣告说:‘谁惧怕胆怯,他可以回家去,恐怕他弟兄的心消化,和他一样。’
Deu 20:8 “And the officers shall speak further to the people, and say, ‘Is there any man who is fearful and fainthearted? Let him go back to his house, lest he make the heart of his fellows melt like his own.’”
## 申20:9
官长对百姓宣告完了,就当派军长率领他们。
Deu 20:9 “And when the officers have finished speaking to the people, then commanders shall be appointed at the head of the people.”
## 申20:10
“你临近一座城要攻打的时候,先要对城里的民宣告和睦的话。
Deu 20:10 “When you draw near to a city to fight against it, offer terms of peace to it.”
## 申20:11
他们若以和睦的话回答你,给你开了城,城里所有的人都要给你效劳,服事你。
Deu 20:11 “And if it responds to you peaceably and it opens to you, then all the people who are found in it shall do forced labor for you and shall serve you.”
## 申20:12
若不肯与你和好,反要与你打仗,你就要围困那城。
Deu 20:12 “But if it makes no peace with you, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it.”
## 申20:13
耶和华你的神把城交付你手,你就要用刀杀尽这城的男丁。
Deu 20:13 “And when the LORD your God gives it into your hand, you shall put all its males to the sword,”
## 申20:14
惟有妇女、孩子、牲畜,和城内一切的财物,你可以取为自己的掠物。耶和华你神把你仇敌的财物赐给你,你可以吃用。
Deu 20:14 “but the women and the little ones, the livestock, and everything else in the city, all its spoil, you shall take as plunder for yourselves. And you shall enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the LORD your God has given you.”
## 申20:15
离你甚远的各城,不是这些国民的城,你都要这样待他。
Deu 20:15 “Thus you shall do to all the cities that are very far from you, which are not cities of the nations here.”
## 申20:16
“但这些国民的城,耶和华你神既赐你为业,其中凡有气息的,一个不可存留。
Deu 20:16 “But in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes,”
## 申20:17
只要照耶和华你神所吩咐的,将这赫人、亚摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人,都灭绝净尽。
Deu 20:17 “but you shall devote them to complete destruction, the Hittites and the Amorites, the Canaanites and the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, as the LORD your God has commanded,”
## 申20:18
免得他们教导你们学习一切可憎恶的事,就是他们向自己神所行的,以致你们得罪耶和华你们的神。
Deu 20:18 “that they may not teach you to do according to all their abominable practices that they have done for their gods, and so you sin against the LORD your God.”
## 申20:19
“你若许久围困攻打所要取的一座城,就不可举斧子砍坏树木,因为你可以吃那树上的果子,不可砍伐;田间的树木岂是人,叫你糟蹋吗?
Deu 20:19 “When you besiege a city for a long time, making war against it in order to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by wielding an axe against them. You may eat from them, but you shall not cut them down. Are the trees in the field human, that they should be besieged by you?”
## 申20:20
惟独你所知道不是结果子的树木,可以毁坏砍伐,用以修筑营垒,攻击那与你打仗的城,直到攻塌了。”
Deu 20:20 “Only the trees that you know are not trees for food you may destroy and cut down, that you may build siegeworks against the city that makes war with you, until it falls.”
