# 民-Num 22 ## 民22:1 以色列人起行，在摩押平原，约但河东，对着耶利哥安营。 Num 22:1 Then the people of Israel set out and camped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan at Jericho. ## 民22:2 以色列人向亚摩利人所行的一切事，西拨的儿子巴勒都看见了。 Num 22:2 And Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. ## 民22:3 摩押人因以色列民甚多，就大大惧怕，心内忧急。 Num 22:3 “And Moab was in great dread of the people, because they were many. Moab was overcome with fear of the people of Israel.” ## 民22:4 对米甸的长老说：“现在这众人要把我们四围所有的，一概舔尽，就如牛舔尽田间的草一般。”那时西拨的儿子巴勒作摩押王。 Num 22:4 “And Moab said to the elders of Midian, “This horde will now lick up all that is around us, as the ox licks up the grass of the field.” So Balak the son of Zippor, who was king of Moab at that time,” ## 民22:5 他差遣使者往大河边的毗夺去，到比珥的儿子巴兰本乡那里，召巴兰来说：“有一宗民从埃及出来，遮满地面，与我对居。 Num 22:5 “sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor at Pethor, which is near the River in the land of the people of Amaw, to call him, saying, “Behold, a people has come out of Egypt. They cover the face of the earth, and they are dwelling opposite me.” ## 民22:6 这民比我强盛，现在求你来为我咒诅他们，或者我能得胜，攻打他们，赶出此地。因为我知道你为谁祝福，谁就得福；你咒诅谁，谁就受咒诅。” Num 22:6 “Come now, curse this people for me, since they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.” ## 民22:7 摩押的长老和米甸的长老，手里拿着卦金，到了巴兰那里，将巴勒的话，都告诉了他。 Num 22:7 So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian departed with the fees for divination in their hand. And they came to Balaam and gave him Balak’s message. ## 民22:8 巴兰说：“你们今夜在这里住宿，我必照耶和华所晓谕我的，回报你们。”摩押的使臣就在巴兰那里住下了。 Num 22:8 “And he said to them, “Lodge here tonight, and I will bring back word to you, as the LORD speaks to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam.” ## 民22:9 神临到巴兰那里说：“在你这里的人都是谁？” Num 22:9 “And God came to Balaam and said, “Who are these men with you?” ## 民22:10 巴兰回答说：“是摩押王西拨的儿子巴勒打发人到我这里来，说： Num 22:10 “And Balaam said to God, “Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, has sent to me, saying,” ## 民22:11 ‘从埃及出来的民遮满地面，你来为我咒诅他们，或者我能与他们争战，把他们赶出去。’” Num 22:11 “Behold, a people has come out of Egypt, and it covers the face of the earth. Now come, curse them for me. Perhaps I shall be able to fight against them and drive them out.’” ## 民22:12 神对巴兰说：“你不可同他们去，也不可咒诅那民，因为那民是蒙福的。” Num 22:12 “God said to Balaam, “You shall not go with them. You shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.” ## 民22:13 巴兰早晨起来，对巴勒的使臣说：“你们回本地去吧！因为耶和华不容我和你们同去。” Num 22:13 “So Balaam rose in the morning and said to the princes of Balak, “Go to your own land, for the LORD has refused to let me go with you.” ## 民22:14 摩押的使臣就起来，回巴勒那里去，说：“巴兰不肯和我们同来。” Num 22:14 “So the princes of Moab rose and went to Balak and said, “Balaam refuses to come with us.” ## 民22:15 巴勒又差遣使臣，比先前的又多又尊贵。 Num 22:15 “Once again Balak sent princes, more in number and more honorable than these.” ## 民22:16 他们到了巴兰那里，对他说：“西拨的儿子巴勒这样说：‘求你不容什么事拦阻你不到我这里来， Num 22:16 “And they came to Balaam and said to him, “Thus says Balak the son of Zippor: ‘Let nothing hinder you from coming to me,” ## 民22:17 因为我必使你得极大的尊荣，你向我要什么，我就给你什么，只求你来为我咒诅这民。’” Num 22:17 “for I will surely do you great honor, and whatever you say to me I will do. Come, curse this people for me.’” ## 民22:18 巴兰回答巴勒的臣仆说：“巴勒就是将他满屋的金银给我，我行大事小事也不得越过耶和华我神的命。 Num 22:18 “But Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, “Though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the command of the LORD my God to do less or more.” ## 民22:19 现在我请你们今夜在这里住宿，等我得知耶和华还要对我说什么。” Num 22:19 “So you, too, please stay here tonight, that I may know what more the LORD will say to me.” ## 民22:20 当夜，神临到巴兰那里说：“这些人若来召你，你就起来同他们去，你只要遵行我对你所说的话。” Num 22:20 “And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, “If the men have come to call you, rise, go with them; but only do what I tell you.” ## 民22:21 巴兰早晨起来，备上驴，和摩押的使臣一同去了。 Num 22:21 So Balaam rose in the morning and saddled his donkey and went with the princes of Moab. ## 民22:22 神因他去就发了怒，耶和华的使者站在路上敌挡他。他骑着驴，有两个仆人跟随他。 Num 22:22 “But God’s anger was kindled because he went, and the angel of the LORD took his stand in the way as his adversary. Now he was riding on the donkey, and his two servants were with him.” ## 民22:23 驴看见耶和华的使者站在路上，手里有拔出来的刀，就从路上跨进田间；巴兰便打驴，要叫它回转上路。 Num 22:23 And the donkey saw the angel of the LORD standing in the road, with a drawn sword in his hand. And the donkey turned aside out of the road and went into the field. And Balaam struck the donkey, to turn her into the road.” ## 民22:24 耶和华的使者就站在葡萄园的窄路上，这边有墙，那边也有墙。 Num 22:24 “Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path between the vineyards, with a wall on either side.” ## 民22:25 驴看见耶和华的使者，就贴靠墙，将巴兰的脚挤伤了；巴兰又打驴。 Num 22:25 “And when the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she pushed against the wall and pressed Balaam’s foot against the wall. So he struck her again.” ## 民22:26 耶和华的使者又往前去，站在狭窄之处，左右都没有转折的地方。 Num 22:26 “Then the angel of the LORD went ahead and stood in a narrow place, where there was no way to turn either to the right or to the left.” ## 民22:27 驴看见耶和华的使者，就卧在巴兰底下，巴兰发怒，用杖打驴。 Num 22:27 “When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam. And Balaam’s anger was kindled, and he struck the donkey with his staff.” ## 民22:28 耶和华叫驴开口，对巴兰说：“我向你行了什么，你竟打我这三次呢？” Num 22:28 “Then the LORD opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, “What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?” ## 民22:29 巴兰对驴说：“因为你戏弄我，我恨不能手中有刀，把你杀了。” Num 22:29 “And Balaam said to the donkey, “Because you have made a fool of me. I wish I had a sword in my hand, for then I would kill you.” ## 民22:30 驴对巴兰说：“我不是你从小时直到今日所骑的驴吗？我素常向你这样行过吗？”巴兰说：“没有。” Num 22:30 “And the donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Is it my habit to treat you this way?” And he said, “No.” ## 民22:31 当时，耶和华使巴兰的眼目明亮，他就看见耶和华的使者站在路上，手里有拔出来的刀；巴兰便低头俯伏在地。 Num 22:31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, with his drawn sword in his hand. And he bowed down and fell on his face.” ## 民22:32 耶和华的使者对他说：“你为何这三次打你的驴呢？我出来敌挡你，因你所行的，在我面前偏僻。 Num 22:32 “And the angel of the LORD said to him, “Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to oppose you because your way is perverse before me.” ## 民22:33 驴看见我就三次从我面前偏过去；驴若没有偏过去，我早把你杀了，留它存活。” Num 22:33 “The donkey saw me and turned aside before me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, surely just now I would have killed you and let her live.” ## 民22:34 巴兰对耶和华的使者说：“我有罪了，我不知道你站在路上阻挡我；你若不喜欢我去，我就转回。” Num 22:34 “Then Balaam said to the angel of the LORD, “I have sinned, for I did not know that you stood in the road against me. Now therefore, if it is evil in your sight, I will turn back.” ## 民22:35 耶和华的使者对巴兰说：“你同这些人去吧！你只要说我对你说的话。”于是巴兰同着巴勒的使臣去了。 Num 22:35 “And the angel of the LORD said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but speak only the word that I tell you.” So Balaam went on with the princes of Balak.” ## 民22:36 巴勒听见巴兰来了，就往摩押京城去迎接他；这城是在边界上，在亚嫩河旁。 Num 22:36 “When Balak heard that Balaam had come, he went out to meet him at the city of Moab, on the border formed by the Arnon, at the extremity of the border.” ## 民22:37 巴勒对巴兰说：“我不是急急地打发人到你那里去召你吗？你为何不到我这里来呢？我岂不能使你得尊荣吗？” Num 22:37 “And Balak said to Balaam, “Did I not send to you to call you? Why did you not come to me? Am I not able to honor you?” ## 民22:38 巴兰说：“我已经到你这里来了，现在我岂能擅自说什么呢？神将什么话传给我，我就说什么。” Num 22:38 “Balaam said to Balak, “Behold, I have come to you! Have I now any power of my own to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that must I speak.” ## 民22:39 巴兰和巴勒同行，来到基列胡琐。 Num 22:39 “Then Balaam went with Balak, and they came to Kiriath-huzoth.” ## 民22:40 巴勒宰了(原文作“献”)牛羊，送给巴兰和陪伴的使臣。 Num 22:40 “And Balak sacrificed oxen and sheep, and sent for Balaam and for the princes who were with him.” ## 民22:41 到了早晨，巴勒领巴兰到巴力的高处，巴兰从那里观看以色列营的边界。 Num 22:41 “And in the morning Balak took Balaam and brought him up to Bamoth-baal, and from there he saw a fraction of the people.”
