# 民-Num 14 ## 民14:1 当下，全会众大声喧嚷，那夜百姓都哭号。 Num 14:1 “Then all the congregation raised a loud cry, and the people wept that night.” ## 民14:2 以色列众人向摩西、亚伦发怨言，全会众对他们说：“巴不得我们早死在埃及地，或是死在这旷野。 Num 14:2 “And all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron. The whole congregation said to them, “Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness!” ## 民14:3 耶和华为什么把我们领到那地，使我们倒在刀下呢？我们的妻子和孩子必被掳掠，我们回埃及去岂不好吗？” Num 14:3 “Why is the LORD bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will become a prey. Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?” ## 民14:4 众人彼此说：“我们不如立一个首领，回埃及去吧！” Num 14:4 “And they said to one another, “Let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt.” ## 民14:5 摩西、亚伦就俯伏在以色列全会众面前。 Num 14:5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the people of Israel. ## 民14:6 窥探地的人中，嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒撕裂衣服， Num 14:6 “And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes” ## 民14:7 对以色列全会众说：“我们所窥探经过之地，是极美之地。 Num 14:7 “and said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land.” ## 民14:8 耶和华若喜悦我们，就必将我们领进那地，把地赐给我们，那地原是流奶与蜜之地。 Num 14:8 “If the LORD delights in us, he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land that flows with milk and honey.” ## 民14:9 但你们不可背叛耶和华，也不要怕那地的居民，因为他们是我们的食物，并且荫庇他们的已经离开他们，有耶和华与我们同在，不要怕他们！” Num 14:9 “Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection is removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” ## 民14:10 但全会众说：“拿石头打死他们二人！”忽然，耶和华的荣光，在会幕中向以色列众人显现。 Num 14:10 Then all the congregation said to stone them with stones. But the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting to all the people of Israel. ## 民14:11 耶和华对摩西说：“这百姓藐视我要到几时呢？我在他们中间行了这一切神迹，他们还不信我要到几时呢？ Num 14:11 “And the LORD said to Moses, “How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs that I have done among them?” ## 民14:12 我要用瘟疫击杀他们，使他们不得承受那地，叫你的后裔成为大国，比他们强胜。” Num 14:12 “I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.” ## 民14:13 摩西对耶和华说：“埃及人必听见这事，因为你曾施展大能，将这百姓从他们中间领上来。 Num 14:13 “But Moses said to the LORD, “Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for you brought up this people in your might from among them,” ## 民14:14 埃及人要将这事传给迦南地的居民，那民已经听见你耶和华是在这百姓中间，因为你面对面被人看见，有你的云彩停在他们以上。你日间在云柱中，夜间在火柱中，在他们前面行。 Num 14:14 “and they will tell the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that you, O LORD, are in the midst of this people. For you, O LORD, are seen face to face, and your cloud stands over them and you go before them, in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.” ## 民14:15 如今你若把这百姓杀了，如杀一人，那些听见你名声的列邦必议论说： Num 14:15 “Now if you kill this people as one man, then the nations who have heard your fame will say,” ## 民14:16 ‘耶和华因为不能把这百姓领进他向他们起誓应许之地，所以在旷野把他们杀了。’ Num 14:16 It is because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land that he swore to give to them that he has killed them in the wilderness.’ ## 民14:17 现在求主大显能力，照你所说过的话说： Num 14:17 “And now, please let the power of the Lord be great as you have promised, saying,” ## 民14:18 ‘耶和华不轻易发怒，并有丰盛的慈爱，赦免罪孽和过犯，万不以有罪的为无罪；必追讨他的罪，自父及子，直到三四代。’ Num 14:18 “The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’” ## 民14:19 求你照你的大慈爱，赦免这百姓的罪孽，好象你从埃及到如今，常赦免他们一样。” Num 14:19 “Please pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of your steadfast love, just as you have forgiven this people, from Egypt until now.” ## 民14:20 耶和华说：“我照着你的话赦免了他们。 Num 14:20 “Then the LORD said, “I have pardoned, according to your word.” ## 民14:21 然我指着我的永生起誓，遍地要被我的荣耀充满。 Num 14:21 “But truly, as I live, and as all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD,” ## 民14:22 这些人虽看见我的荣耀，和我在埃及与旷野所行的神迹，仍然试探我这十次，不听从我的话， Num 14:22 “none of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to the test these ten times and have not obeyed my voice,” ## 民14:23 他们断不得看见我向他们的祖宗所起誓应许之地。凡藐视我的，一个也不得看见； Num 14:23 shall see the land that I swore to give to their fathers. And none of those who despised me shall see it. ## 民14:24 惟独我的仆人迦勒，因他另有一个心志，专一跟从我，我就把他领进他所去过的那地；他的后裔也必得那地为业。 Num 14:24 “But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.” ## 民14:25 亚玛力人和迦南人住在谷中，明天你们要转回，从红海的路往旷野去。” Num 14:25 “Now, since the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valleys, turn tomorrow and set out for the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.” ## 民14:26 耶和华对摩西、亚伦说： Num 14:26 “And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,” ## 民14:27 “这恶会众向我发怨言，我忍耐他们要到几时呢？以色列人向我所发的怨言，我都听见了。 Num 14:27 “How long shall this wicked congregation grumble against me? I have heard the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against me.” ## 民14:28 你们告诉他们，耶和华说：‘我指着我的永生起誓，我必要照你们达到我耳中的话待你们。 Num 14:28 “Say to them, ‘As I live, declares the LORD, what you have said in my hearing I will do to you:” ## 民14:29 你们的尸首必倒在这旷野，并且你们中间凡被数点，从二十岁以外向我发怨言的， Num 14:29 “your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, and of all your number, listed in the census from twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against me,” ## 民14:30 必不得进我起誓应许叫你们住的那地；惟有耶孚尼的儿子迦勒和嫩的儿子约书亚才能进去。 Num 14:30 “not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.” ## 民14:31 但你们的妇人孩子，就是你们所说，要被掳掠的，我必把他们领进去，他们就得知你们所厌弃的那地。 Num 14:31 “But your little ones, who you said would become a prey, I will bring in, and they shall know the land that you have rejected.” ## 民14:32 至于你们，你们的尸首必倒在这旷野。 Num 14:32 “But as for you, your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness.” ## 民14:33 你们的儿女必在旷野飘流四十年，担当你们淫行的罪，直到你们的尸首在旷野消灭。 Num 14:33 “And your children shall be shepherds in the wilderness forty years and shall suffer for your faithlessness, until the last of your dead bodies lies in the wilderness.” ## 民14:34 按你们窥探那地的四十日，一年顶一日；你们要担当罪孽四十年，就知道我与你们疏远了。 Num 14:34 “According to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, a year for each day, you shall bear your iniquity forty years, and you shall know my displeasure.’” ## 民14:35 我耶和华说过，我总要这样待这一切聚集敌我的恶会众，他们必在这旷野消灭，在这里死亡。” Num 14:35 “I, the LORD, have spoken. Surely this will I do to all this wicked congregation who are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall come to a full end, and there they shall die.” ## 民14:36 摩西所打发，窥探那地的人回来，报那地的恶信，叫全会众向摩西发怨言； Num 14:36 “And the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing up a bad report about the land—” ## 民14:37 这些报恶信的人，都遭瘟疫，死在耶和华面前。 Num 14:37 the men who brought up a bad report of the land—died by plague before the LORD. ## 民14:38 其中惟有嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒仍然存活。 Num 14:38 “Of those men who went to spy out the land, only Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive.” ## 民14:39 摩西将这些话告诉以色列众人，他们就甚悲哀。 Num 14:39 “When Moses told these words to all the people of Israel, the people mourned greatly.” ## 民14:40 清早起来上山顶去，说：“我们在这里，我们有罪了，情愿上耶和华所应许的地方去。” Num 14:40 “And they rose early in the morning and went up to the heights of the hill country, saying, “Here we are. We will go up to the place that the LORD has promised, for we have sinned.” ## 民14:41 摩西说：“你们为何违背耶和华的命令呢？这事不能顺利了。 Num 14:41 “But Moses said, “Why now are you transgressing the command of the LORD, when that will not succeed?” ## 民14:42 不要上去，因为耶和华不在你们中间，恐怕你们被仇敌杀败了。 Num 14:42 “Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you, lest you be struck down before your enemies.” ## 民14:43 亚玛力人和迦南人都在你们面前，你们必倒在刀下，因你们退回不跟从耶和华，所以他必不与你们同在。” Num 14:43 “For there the Amalekites and the Canaanites are facing you, and you shall fall by the sword. Because you have turned back from following the LORD, the LORD will not be with you.” ## 民14:44 他们却擅敢上山顶去，然而耶和华的约柜和摩西没有出营。 Num 14:44 “But they presumed to go up to the heights of the hill country, although neither the ark of the covenant of the LORD nor Moses departed out of the camp.” ## 民14:45 于是亚玛力人和住在那山上的迦南人都下来击打他们，把他们杀退了，直到何珥玛。 Num 14:45 “Then the Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived in that hill country came down and defeated them and pursued them, even to Hormah.”
