# 创-Gen 23 ## 创23:1 撒拉享寿一百二十七岁，这是撒拉一生的岁数。 Gen 23:1 Sarah lived 127 years; these were the years of the life of Sarah. ## 创23:2 撒拉死在迦南地的基列亚巴，就是希伯仑，亚伯拉罕为她哀恸哭号。 Gen 23:2 “And Sarah died at Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan, and Abraham went in to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.” ## 创23:3 后来亚伯拉罕从死人面前起来，对赫人说： Gen 23:3 “And Abraham rose up from before his dead and said to the Hittites,” ## 创23:4 “我在你们中间是外人，是寄居的，求你们在这里给我一块地，我好埋葬我的死人，使她不在我眼前。” Gen 23:4 “I am a sojourner and foreigner among you; give me property among you for a burying place, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.” ## 创23:5 赫人回答亚伯拉罕说： Gen 23:5 “The Hittites answered Abraham,” ## 创23:6 “我主请听，你在我们中间是一位尊大的王子，只管在我们最好的坟地里埋葬你的死人，我们没有一人不容你在他的坟地里埋葬你的死人。” Gen 23:6 “Hear us, my lord; you are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the choicest of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb to hinder you from burying your dead.” ## 创23:7 亚伯拉罕就起来，向那地的赫人下拜。 Gen 23:7 “Abraham rose and bowed to the Hittites, the people of the land.” ## 创23:8 对他们说：“你们若有意叫我埋葬我的死人，使她不在我眼前，就请听我的话，为我求琐辖的儿子以弗仑， Gen 23:8 “And he said to them, “If you are willing that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me and entreat for me Ephron the son of Zohar,” ## 创23:9 把田头上那麦比拉洞给我，他可以按着足价卖给我，作我在你们中间的坟地。” Gen 23:9 “that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he owns; it is at the end of his field. For the full price let him give it to me in your presence as property for a burying place.” ## 创23:10 当时以弗仑正坐在赫人中间。于是，赫人以弗仑，在城门出入的赫人面前，对亚伯拉罕说： Gen 23:10 “Now Ephron was sitting among the Hittites, and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the Hittites, of all who went in at the gate of his city,” ## 创23:11 “不然，我主请听，我送给你这块田，连田间的洞也送给你，在我同族的人面前都给你，可以埋葬你的死人。” Gen 23:11 “No, my lord, hear me: I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the sight of the sons of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead.” ## 创23:12 亚伯拉罕就在那地的人民面前下拜。 Gen 23:12 Then Abraham bowed down before the people of the land. ## 创23:13 在他们面前对以弗仑说：“你若应允，请听我的话，我要把田价给你，求你收下，我就在那里埋葬我的死人。” Gen 23:13 “And he said to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land, “But if you will, hear me: I give the price of the field. Accept it from me, that I may bury my dead there.” ## 创23:14 以弗仑回答亚伯拉罕说： Gen 23:14 “Ephron answered Abraham,” ## 创23:15 “我主请听，值四百舍客勒银子的一块田，在你我中间还算什么呢？只管埋葬你的死人吧！” Gen 23:15 “My lord, listen to me: a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.” ## 创23:16 亚伯拉罕听从了以弗仑，照着他在赫人面前所说的话，把买卖通用的银子平了四百舍客勒给以弗仑。 Gen 23:16 “Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.” ## 创23:17 于是，麦比拉幔利前、以弗仑的那块田和其中的洞，并田间四围的树木， Gen 23:17 “So the field of Ephron in Machpelah, which was to the east of Mamre, the field with the cave that was in it and all the trees that were in the field, throughout its whole area, was made over” ## 创23:18 都定准归与亚伯拉罕，乃是他在赫人面前，并城门出入的人面前买妥的。 Gen 23:18 “to Abraham as a possession in the presence of the Hittites, before all who went in at the gate of his city.” ## 创23:19 此后，亚伯拉罕把他妻子撒拉埋葬在迦南地幔利前的麦比拉田间的洞里。幔利就是希伯仑。 Gen 23:19 After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah east of Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.” ## 创23:20 从此，那块田和田间的洞，就借着赫人定准，归与亚伯拉罕作坟地。 Gen 23:20 The field and the cave that is in it were made over to Abraham as property for a burying place by the Hittites.
